At Buymedia, our desire to ‘give something back’ is part of our DNA. With over €1 billion spent on advertising by businesses in Ireland each year, we believe a portion of this spend can be used for good.
Launched in August 2021, Advertise for Good channels a percentage of Buymedia’s advertising revenue to meaningful causes, with advertisers and media partners also encouraged to contribute a portion of their revenue and ad space.
The initiative began with UNICEF Ireland, which received over €20,000 in funding. In 2023, we extended our reach to local communities, providing €75,000 equally to Cope Galway, Hand in Hand, and LauraLynn. In 2024, we continued our support with over €24,000 donated to Gort Cancer Support, Special Olympics Ireland, and Mayo Cancer Support. Altogether, Buymedia has contributed more than €119,000 to charities and community organisations across Ireland.
With our recent expansion into the UK, we’re excited to bring Advertise for Good to new communities there this year, transforming advertising success into social impact.
